Design. Build. Hunt.
I’ve been chasing whitetails since 1995, when I harvested my first deer with a bow at just 12 years old on public land in Wisconsin. What began as a childhood passion quickly evolved into a lifelong pursuit—one that ultimately became the foundation for Whitetail Design Build. With nearly 20 years of experience in commercial construction, over 30 years of hunting experience, and more than two decades of managing whitetail habitat, I now work with landowners across multiple states to help them unlock the full potential of their properties. My mission is simple: design and build whitetail habitat that creates predictable deer movement, reduces hunting pressure, and delivers consistent opportunities at the best bucks in your neighborhood.
FAQ
What services do you offer for whitetail habitat improvements?
We offer a comprehensive range of whitetail habitat management services, including on-site design consultations, travel corridor clearing and maintenance, food plot design and clearing, access trail construction and upkeep, timber stand improvement (TSI) work, and strategic waterhole installation.
Do you offer on-site consultations?
We offer on-site consultations that typically require 8 to 12+ hours to complete, depending on the property’s total acreage and habitat complexity.
What areas do you serve?
We provide habitat services anywhere a whitetail calls home.
Why should I choose a professional habitat builder instead of doing it myself?
Professionals have in-depth knowledge of whitetails across a wide range of habitats. They bring a clear vision for how to quickly maximize the potential of your property. This experience alone can save you valuable time, money, and frustration in the long run.
How many acres do I need to experience great deer hunting?
Larger properties definitely offer more potential when it comes to building and managing whitetail habitat. That said, I’ve seen 10-acre parcels outperform 80-acre ones in the right conditions. While that’s the exception—not the rule—most properties have far more potential than landowners often realize. With the right design and management, even modest tracts can become highly productive.
